Sharing Cities at CIVITAS forum conference 2017

27/09/2017 - 29/09/2017 (Torres Vedras)

The CIVITAS FORUM Conference will take place on 27-29 September 2017 in Torres Vedras, Portugal. This annual event brings together the CIVITAS community from across Europe: hundreds of mobility experts, actors and stakeholders, all of whom are devoted to the development of sustainable urban mobility in their cities. The 15th edition of the CIVITAS Forum Conference will continue the tradition of offering state-of-the-art presentations, interactive workshops and sessions, interesting site visits, not to mention new innovative elements in the programme.

Pedro Machado from LISBOA E-NOVA, partner in Sharing Cities, will participate as a speaker in a session on “Cracking the deployment challenge; project know-how and support in the European Innovation Partnership on Smart Cities and Communities”. The panel will discuss the barriers to investing in new urban mobility solutions (services, cleaner vehicles) and what tools can help overcome those barriers.

This session is supported by the Market Place of the European Innovation Partnership on Smart Cities and Communities. It aspires to be the place where demand can meet supply for smart city solutions, bringing together the demand of municipal actors, physically and virtually, with supply from investors, technology providers and financiers, who can meet each other and lay the foundation for actual investments in on-the-ground solutions.
