The Greater London Authority presents the Sharing Cities ‘trade show’ event. Sharing Cities has delivered proven financial, social and environmental benefits in each of its test cities. The project partners want to share their learning, business models and innovative methods of financing with participants to the event in order to replicate this success elsewhere.
Funded by Horizon 2020, Sharing Cities has fostered collaboration between cities, industry and academia from across Europe to develop and implement a range of affordable, integrated, commercial-scale smart city solutions. Formed of three lighthouse cities – London, Lisbon and Milan – and 35 partners, the project has designed, implemented and tested ten types of smart tech in real world environments that encompasses electric mobility, citizen engagement, retrofitting buildings, smart street infrastructure, energy management and data platforms.
Some key successes of these technologies include:
In its final phase, Sharing Cities is sharing its knowledge and lessons learned to support other cities and municipalities to design and implement their own solutions. Therefore, this event targets London boroughs, cities across Europe and the wider marketplace who want to learn more about Sharing Cities' technologies, the impact they have had, how the project can support you to adopt smart technologies more quickly and cheaply and to put you in touch with Sharing Cities suppliers and partners that have delivered this success.
The event will be hosted in the London Living Room at the Mayor of London’s City Hall between 9.30 – 1.30pm. The agenda includes technical demonstrations, Q&A sessions, a Trade Show and networking lunch.
